Overview
As an Azure DevOps Engineer supporting the Danish Defence, you will design and implement cloud-native solutions in Microsoft Azure, ensuring secure and scalable deployments. You will work on Kubernetes clusters, CI/CD pipelines, and system observability within a defence-grade environment. This role involves close collaboration with security teams and cross-functional IT stakeholders to meet stringent defence standards.
Responsibilities
– Design, deploy, and manage Azure-based Kubernetes clusters
– Develop and maintain CI/CD workflows for automated builds and deployments
– Create and manage Helm Charts for application packaging and version control
– Implement observability solutions to monitor system performance and health
– Troubleshoot infrastructure and application issues in a secure environment
– Automate Linux server provisioning and configuration management
– Collaborate with security teams to enforce defence-grade policies and controls
– Mentor junior engineers and share best practices
Required education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degrees or relevant certifications in cloud computing, DevOps, or security are advantageous.
Required experience
Minimum 2–3 years of hands-on experience in Azure cloud architecture, Kubernetes operations, CI/CD pipeline development, and Linux administration. Proven record in designing, troubleshooting, and optimizing production systems within enterprise or defence environments. Ability to work independently and drive continuous improvement.
Additional requirements
Must hold or be eligible for a HEM/Top Secret security clearance and commit to onsite work at a Danish Defence facility for 2–3 years. Fluent in English is required; Danish language skills are advantageous. Willingness to travel locally and adhere to strict defence security policies.
