The power of partnerships. In collaboration with our partner Hytek, we assisted Samson Materials Handling with a tailored team of supervisors and technicians, to manage the installation of two advanced shiploaders at an export terminal in Tanzania.
Our solution ensured full compliance with both local and international standards, delivering a seamless and efficient installation process.

Challenge

Our client SAMSON Materials Handling Ltd, a renowned manufacturer of mobile material feeders, shiploaders and eco hoppers for bulk materials, secured a contract to deliver and install two state-of-the art ship loaders in Tanzania.
For the installation phase, SAMSON partnered with us to utilize our experienced and well-travelled workforce. With a tight deadline, it was crucial that we could mobilize the right team as efficiently as possible, as well as managing all global mobility tasks.
Our solution
The installation of shiploaders is a highly technical process, requiring precise hydraulic system integration and synchronization with control systems, alongside adherence to HSEQ standards. Partnering with our Danish partner Hytek, a leading company in hydraulic and mechanical constructions, we identified two skilled supervisors – one from our own workforce and one from Hytek. Moreover, we utilized our Plant Supervision India branch and mobilized two of our Indian technicians.
The complete team had the right experiences and technical capabilities and was a cost-effective solution that would see the installations being performed to the specific demands of both Samson and the end-client. As part of the solution, Hytek was also responsible for supplying the project with a piping and fittings package.
‘Communications between Samson Supervisor and the Hydraulic team was handled professionally and reaction time from Plant Supervision in Denmark, ordering, receiving and shipping shortages to site was well maintained’ – Jim Hughes, Project Manager at SAMSON.
Additionally, Plant Supervision managed all global mobility logistics, including payroll, travel arrangements, visas, and work permits. This allowed SAMSON to concentrate on their core operations without distractions.
