Background
- Service: Commissioning
- Project: Level 2 and 3 commissioning
- Country: Denmark
Our client, a key player in data center construction, was executing a new 30-megawatt facility in Skovlunde, Denmark.
As the project approached the crucial Level 2 and 3 commissioning phases, the company lacked the necessary in-house commissioning engineers to meet the demanding schedule.
With the data center industry expanding rapidly across Europe, and skilled commissioning professionals in short supply, the client turned to Plant Supervision for a complete commissioning team.
Challenge
The project required both low-voltage, high-voltage, and mechanical commissioning engineers, roles that are increasingly difficult to fill as data center demand surges.
With deadlines tightening, the company needed not just manpower, but the right technical expertise, compliance handling, and coordination to restart progress.
In addition to staffing, the client required a full-service partner who could handle all administrative and logistical aspects, ensuring engineers were fully compliant, equipped, and ready to perform from day one.
Our solution
At Plant Supervision we first assembled a dedicated project team, including two project managers and a project coordinator, to oversee the full process, from recruitment to on-site management.
Within just 72 hours, we had assembled the complete team of six engineers through our workforce: Two low-voltage, two high-voltage, and two mechanical commissioning specialists—later expanded to seven with a second year electrician apprentice.
Our project managers conducted detailed interviews and screenings, leveraging their own technical experience to match each engineer precisely to the project’s technical and safety requirements.
We handled every administrative and operational detail, including:
- Payroll, insurance, and PPE management
- Travel, accommodation, and daily transportation
- Ongoing HR contact and support for all engineers
Our presence didn’t end at deployment. One of our engineers took on a site lead role, managing daily meetings, documentation, and communication between our client, the end-client, and other contractors. Our project managers were also on-site regularly to ensure progress and provide hands-on support—both technically and personally.

Results
Thanks to our swift response and end-to-end management, Plant Supervision reduced existing delays and enabled the company to complete the Level 2 and 3 commissioning phases within five months.
The collaboration not only helped the client regain control of the schedule but also established a trusted relationship for future projects.
Today, we continue to support our client on new data center projects across Europe on a project-by-project basis.
Just as importantly, the project strengthened Plant Supervision’s expertise in data center commissioning—building our experience in procedures, standards, and the unique workflows of large-scale data center environments.
