Plant Supervision welcomes experienced professionals to stay on site after reaching retirement age—on project lengths, locations and scopes that suit you.
Why keep on working?
The hum of turbines overhead, the scent of sawdust in a busy paper mill, the taste of morning coffee before a big kick-off—those moments still call you. And with Plant Supervision, returning is easier than ever. We tailor every assignment to your expertise, availability and preferences.
- Experience Counts: Your decades of knowhow solve critical on-site challenges.
- Tailored Flexibility: Part time, local projects, mentoring roles—your choice.
- Financially Advantageous: Danish reforms mean your wages won’t reduce your state pension basic amount or supplement as before.

FAQ - Frequently asked questions
In general: no. The Danish government removed the general rule that reduced the folkepension basic amount and pension supplement because of a person’s own earned wages, meaning earned wages typically do not reduce your basic folkepension. Read more on Regeringen.dk or Borger.dk
Yes. A later change in the law (effective 1 January 2025) means certain types of income or benefits — for example some replacement benefits and other non-wage income — can be treated as “other income” and may be setoff against the pension supplement in specific cases. This mainly affects situations with partner/household income and specific benefit categories. Visit Ældre Sagen for more information.
Examples that have been mentioned in guidance and media coverage include: unemployment benefits (dagpenge), early-retirement benefits (efterløn), certain sickness/rehabilitation payments and other replacement benefits. These may now be offset against the pension supplement under the 2025 rules. Exact treatment depends on the specific benefit and household situation. Read more on Ældre Sagen.
Household calculations still matter for the pension supplement. Historically some changes removed the automatic impact of a partner’s earned wages, but the 2025 changes mean certain non-wage benefits received by a partner (like dagpenge/efterløn) can again influence the pension supplement. So partner income can still be relevant depending on type and how it’s classified. Visit Borger.dk and Ældre Sagen for more information.
Many companies struggle to keep retirees on payroll due to headcount or budget-cutting issues, but as our senior staff, you get to keep your current job as you’ll be employed through Plant Supervision. We handle all administrative, accounting, and compliance tasks so you can continue working for your former company or new clients. Your salary, pension rights and benefits stay intact while we manage the details behind the scenes.
