Lead Designer

Overview

The Lead Designer will oversee the detailed 3D and 2D design of process plants and subsystems, ensuring accurate integration of P&ID-based modeling and third-party components. You will lead assembly layout creation, develop HF levels, and maintain project planning sheets in close collaboration with Project Managers and Engineers. The role includes constant coordination with our offshore engineering team to review and integrate drawing deliverables.

Responsibilities

– Develop and maintain detailed project planning sheets with PM
– Generate and manage 3D assembly layouts and HF levels
– Perform 3D and 2D design of process plants and subsystems
– Create principal drawings and complete documentation with part lists
– Collaborate in weekly progress meetings with stakeholders
– Integrate and review drawings from the Indian engineering team
– Produce Navisworks files to communicate drawing progress

Required education

A Technical Designer/Draftsman qualification or a degree in mechanical or process engineering is required.

Required experience

Proven experience designing process plants and subsystems using AutoDesk Inventor and P&ID workflows, including both 3D layout and 2D documentation. Track record of coordinating with cross-functional teams, generating part lists, and managing drawing deliverables on time.

Additional requirements

Fluency in English and Danish (oral and written) is required. Ability to travel approximately 20 nights per year for project support and stakeholder meetings.
